JONES

Graveside services for Troy H. Jones, 92, of Odessa were Aug. 14, 2023 in New Dublin Liveoak Cemetery, Dean Bradley officiating.

Troy was born on July 23, 1931 on an Erath County farm south of Dublin to Harley and Hettie Jones.

After attending Dublin High School, Troy served as a Corporal in the U.S. army.

He was married on Oct. 27, 1955 to Betty Templeton in Bunyan.

He worked for TU Electric in Odessa, installing substations and was a devout Baptist.

Troy is survived by his wife of 67 years, Betty; his son, William H. Jones of Spring; daughter-in-law, Kira; and his sister, Martha Irish of McKinney.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Edwin Jones and a sister, Edith Meyer.
