Keep Dublin Beautiful is looking for volunteers to adopt some of the big pot planters downtown along Patrick St. Beautiful flowers and greenery in these pots help to show visitors we care about our city.

Adopt a pot, create a pleasing planting, and keep the welcoming green going through the summer. Help and advice available. Please let us know if this sounds like a project you could take on.

Black tie, boots event this Saturday

The Boots and Black Tie Ball is set for Saturday, Jan. 27 in Dublin.

The event will be held from 7-11 p.m. at Grafton Center (118 S. Grafton Street) and will feature a plated barbecue dinner, live entertainment, a live auction and door prizes.

Admission is $15 per person and the event is being hosted by Lilly G Arena Productions.

The event is being held to recognize sponsors of Lilly G Events held throughout 2023.

Brunch fundraiser set for Saturday

Cross Timbers Family Services’ premiere fundraising event, the Fourth Annual Better Beginnings Brunch is set for 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 27.

The event will be held at the Barry B. Thompson Student Center Ballroom, located at 1451 West Jones Street in Stephenville.

Individual tickets are still available for $80 each.

The event will include brunch, bottomless mimosas, a photo booth, a silent auction, shopping and special guest speakers.

The keynote speaker is Dr. Cindy Burnette with Texas Health Resources.
