POSSUM KINGDOM

FAIR. Water clear; 52-56 degrees; 1.64 feet below pool. Striper fishing is great and live bait is still the best method to land catches, but the deadstick bite is slowly picking up. The fish are schooled up but on the move in 30-50 feet of water. Sand bass are fair to good with the best bite on small live shad, but some can be caught using small slabs jigged in or near them. A good go-to color is white with occasional silver and chartreuse mixed in. Catfish are good on cut shad in 2-15 feet of water. Some can be caught using jug lines on cut shad. Water clarity is steady at 4-10 feet of visibility.

PROCTOR

FAIR. Water stained; 60 degrees; 12.86 feet below pool. ‘Tis the season for consistent fishing patterns. Target bass on ledges slowly working crankbaits or rattletraps. Catfish can be caught drifting stink bait or cut bait. Crappie are hitting minnows and jigs in open water and on brush.

WEATHERFORD

SLOW. Water stained; 53 degrees; 7.46 feet below pool. Ho-ho-hold the poles and fish for suspended crappie in 20 feet of water near the dam. The bite is fair as we wait for a cold front to drop the water temperature more, bringing the crappie into the boat slips. Bass are slow, with a few catches in 15-20 feet of water. Catfish are fair with live or cut shad in deep water. Water visibility is 6 inches.
