FISHING REPORT

Body

BROWNWOOD

GOOD. Water stained; 60-66 degrees; 8.45 feet below pool. Black bass are slow with catches up to 3.80 pounds using jigs, and crankbaits in 1-12 feet of water. Crappie are slow with catches up to 1.00 pound on brush piles and around the docks on minnows in 10-12 feet of water. White bass are slow with catches up to 1.25 pound on crankbaits and small jigs. Catfish are slow at baited holes using prepared and cut bait.

GRANBURY

GOOD. Water lightly stained; 65 degrees; 0.26 feet below pool. Granbury striped bass are good to 10 pounds on swimbaits, slabs, and live bait. Live perch have been producing some good catches for both striped bass and yellow catfish. Blue catfish to 30 pounds plus are fair to good on the upper ends on cut bait. Sand bass are being caught near Indian Harbor and in town on silver or chartreuse slabs. Black bass numbers continue to be good with an occasional fish to 7 pounds. Look for some topwater early then work soft plastics later in the day. Some good black bass are being taken working laydowns in the river about Granbury. Crappie catches have been good on submerged structures from Decordova to Mallard Pointe.

POSSUM KINGDOM

FAIR. Water clear; 64 degrees; 1.59 feet below pool. Striper are good and the fish want live bait to feast on this Thanksgiving. The fish are slightly scattered, but some schools of fish can be found, but act quickly because they are moving fast. It has been best to pick fish off one at a time in 20-40 feet of water. Sand bass are fair using small live shad, small jigs and slabs. Some can also be caught trolling crankbaits that dive 10-15 feet in 20-40 feet of water. White is a good go to, but chartreuse, and silver are good colors too. Catfish are good. Cut and live shad are both good baits and produce good numbers of fish in 2-15 feet of water. Water clarity is steady at 4-8 feet of visibility.

PROCTOR

FAIR. Water stained; 60 degrees; 12.63 feet below pool. Thankfully the weather should be good for fishing this Thanksgiving weekend. Target bass on ledges with swimbaits, and crankbaits. Catfish can be caught drifting stink bait or cut bait. Hybrid and sand bass are schooling biting slabs. Crappie are hitting minnows with the jig bite improving around rock structures.

WEATHERFORD

SLOW. Water stained; 60 degrees; 7.36 feet below pool. Catfish are fair with a nice size catch in a boat slip, or off the dam rocks with cut shad. Bass are slow on spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and worms moving into the creeks. Crappie are fair on the main lake brush with hand tied jigs.
