The Stephenville Area Elks Lodge will be offering a complimentary meal for veterans from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11 at the Veterans Memorial on the Dublin Library Lawn.

Comanche Museum offers Veterans Day meal
The Comanche County Historical Museum will host its Annual Veterans Day Lunch Sunday, Nov. 12, 2023 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at 402 Moorman Rd.
There will be a baked potato bar with toppings, and sweet potatoes, too, barbecue or chili; beef furnished by Artesian Ranch of Comanche County. Delicious desserts. tea and water. By donation only. Call us at 325-356-5115 Wednesday through Saturday.
Kingdom Kids to host open house
Kingdom Kids Preschool will be having an open house at 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10.
The new playground will be open for the first time and kids will be able to play on it. The event is from 4 to 6 p.m. with light refreshments.
Charity gingerbread house contest
Revitalize Dublin in conjunction with Grafton Market is hosting a Gingerbread House Charity Competition. First place prize is 50/50 cash and Revitalize Dublin gets 50% of the funds raised.
Pick up the registration form at Grafton Market and pay $25 to buy into the contest by Nov. 18. Drop off your finished Gingerbread House on or before Dec. 1.
Clairette Thanksgiving Meal offered
The annual Thanksgiving Meal for the Clairette community will be offered at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12 at the Clairette Community Center ( the old school house on Hwy. 6).
Turkey and dressing will be served and each attendee is invited to bring their favorite dish to share.

Thanksgiving Meal offered in Lingleville
A community Thanksgiving meal will be hosted for Lingleville at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16 at the Lingleville ISD Cafeteria.
Turkey, ham, dressing, gravy and drinks will be provided. Everyone who is attending is encouraged to bring a side and a dessert to share since a large turnout is expected.

CTFAC to host new show at gallery
Cross Timbers Fine Arts Council is presenting a new show at its gallery, “The works of Opal Black & Students” Nov. 9 through Dec. 29.
The artist’s reception is Thursday, Nov. 16 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the CTFAC Gallery on the square.
The exhibit is open and free to everyone to view. The gallery is located at 148 West College Street in Stephenville.
