GRANBURY
GOOD. Water slightly stained; 87-89 degrees; 6.50 feet below pool. Black bass to 8.84 pounds are good on jigs, shaky heads, crankbaits and soft plastic worms in 5-18 feet of water early and late in the day. Crappie are slow in brush piles and around the docks on minnows in 10-15 feet of water. White bass are fair to 1.00 pound, schooling around the dam mid morning and late afternoon on jigs and small moving baits. Catfish are slow to 3 pounds on jug lines and trotlines using perch and cut bait.
FAIR. Water lightly stained; 87-91 degrees; 0.65 feet below pool. Lake Granbury water temperatures are in the upper 80s to low 90s. Recommend fishing in the morning as this is when you can locate the coolest water. Thermocline is shallow in 15 feet of water. Sand bass are fair to good on rattletraps and smaller crankbaits trolled from Indian Harbor to Decordova. Striped bass to 11 pounds are possible on the lower ends on live shad or downrig jigs with a curly tailed trailer. Largemouth bass are good on shallow humps/ridges and near shaded docks on crankbaits and Texas rigged soft plastics. Catfish are best at night on cut or prepared baits. Crappie action continues to be good on small jigs and minnows fished suspended near structure.
POSSUM KINGDOM
FAIR. Water clear; 86-93 degrees; 0.95 feet below pool. Striper fishing is fair with the preferred tactics live shad, but trolling with chartreuse, yellow, and white lures will produce a few fish. Look for fish in 20-40 feet of water. Sand bass are fair. Some can be found schooling, but most are going to be caught using slabs or small live bait in 15-30 feet of water. White and chartreuse are good colors. Catfish are good using cut shad and punch bait fished on or near bottom in 2-15 feet of water. Water clarity ranges from 5-15 feet depending on location.
PROCTOR
SLOW. Water stained; 86-89 degrees; 11.52 feet below pool. Catfish are good with cheese bait in deeper water. Crappie are fair on brush piles.
WEATHERFORD
SLOW. Water stained; 88 degrees; 8.50 feet below pool. Fishing is slow for all species while the water temperature and weather is hot. Crappie are slow with mostly undersized catches on main lake points. Catfish are slow to fair with a few catches on the rocks near the dam. Bass are slow in deeper water.
WHITNEY
GREAT. Water lightly stained; 87 degrees; 6.67 feet below pool. Striper limits continue to be common on live bait on channel ledges.
