There was a report of someone shooting off a firearm in the 800 block of Liberty. Officers spoke with the caller and made contact with several residences in the area. They advised they had not heard shots fired.

There was a report of loud music in the 300 block of North Grafton.

There was an open garage door across from Sonic on North Patrick. Officer went to check the building where a male subject was staying. Officer contacted owner and was advised they had permission to stay there.

July 25

There were two dogs running around the library.

A reporting person requested to speak to an officer after an altercation.

July 26

A caller advised there were some drunk teenagers in her yard in the 300 block of North Davies. Officer did not locate any suspicious persons.

A reporting person requested a welfare check on an elderly man in the 500 block of North Grafton that was released from a nursing home and had tried to call him but no answer. Officer made contact with him and his phone was off and he was okay.

A civil standby was requested in order for a person to get property from a residence in the 500 block of East Blackjack.

July 27

A reporting person advised someone called her phone claiming to be her granddaughter in jail in Houston. Caller called back the number and spoke to someone claiming to be a lawyer. The call was determined to be a scam.

A border collie was chasing a reporting party’s chickens in the 600 block of South Park. Officer arrived on scene and the dog had left and the chickens were fine. Call referred to animal control.

A reporting person requested a welfare check on her mom in the 100 block of Church. Mom was fine, had just left her phone at work.

July 28

A reporting person in the 600 block of Ireland stated family had threatened to come and cause issues. Officer issued a criminal trespass from the property.

A reporting person in the 600 block of Liveoak advised there were some teens running through her yard, jumping the fence. Officer tried to make contact with parents but they weren’t home.

There was a report of a dog bite in the 200 block of West Blackjack.

July 30

A caller stated there was a female knocking on the door in the 600 block of Ireland saying their phone was in the residence. Officers arrived and the female had left the scene.

There was a verbal argument over child custody.
