As the Dublin Rodeo Heritage Museum approaches its 20th anniversary, they are partnering with the Cross Timbers Fine Arts Council to have a Country and Western Themed Photography Contest.
All photos must be country and western themed photos and all ages are welcome.
Photo entries can be no larger than 16” by 20”, must be family friendly and are subject to board discretion. Entriesmustbeaccompanied by completed release form/ photographer information, entry information form and an entry fee.
Entry fees are $10 and photographers may enter two photos.
All submissions must be dropped off at Cross Timbers Fine Arts Council at 148 West College Street in Stephenville by 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26.
Awards will be presented at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2 at 113 East Blackjack, preceding a public reception from 1-4 p.m.
Exhibitors may pick up their photos after the reception concludes at 4 p.m. or by 3 p.m. on Sept. 9.
Cash awards will be presented including $100 for first place, $75 for second place and $50 for third place.

During the Sept. 2 anniversary celebration the Dublin Rodeo Heritage Museum has much planned including: a 9:30 a.m. parade with horses, covered wagons and riding clubs. Call Rick at Lilly G Arena Productions 254-459-0141 to register for the parade.
Vendor booths at Wright park (10 a.m.), 11 a.m. 2021 and 2022 honorees are inducted into the museum’s honor and memorial walk, 11:15 a.m. branding starts at the Rodeo Heritage Museum Branding Iron Wall, noon barbecue street taco lunch ($15 a plate), 2-4 p.m. museums open, 4-6 p.m. free admission to documentary ‘From Dublin to Madison Square Garden’ , 7:30 to 9 p.m. Everett Colborn Memorial Bull Riding competition. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and there are vendor spaces available for $50.
