BROWNWOOD
GOOD. Water slightly stained; 84-87 degrees; 5.30 feet below pool. Black bass to 6.67-pounds are fair on jigs and topwater lures, but slow on crankbaits and soft plastic worms in 3-20 feet of water. Crappie are fair in brush piles on jigs in 8-15 feet of water and on minnows around the docks. White bass are poor to 1.00pound in the lights on crankbaits, jigs and minnows. Catfish are slow to 5-pounds on jug lines.
GRANBURY
GOOD. Water lightly stained; 86-92 degrees; 0.06 feet above pool. Granbury water levels are now full thanks to an abundance of water at Possum Kingdom. Water flowing through Granbury is impacting the thermocline and fishing patterns. Look for fish to stage on current breaks when Granbury is releasing water. Some floating debris is on the lake so be careful navigating. Big striped bass to 12-pounds plus continue to be caught on the lower ends on live bait and down rigging jigs. Largemouth bass to 8-pounds are possible near creek entrances and under shaded docks. Sand bass are schooling on the surface near Indian Harbor and near Decordova subdivision. Crappie catches continue to be good near deeper structure, timber and bridge pilings. Blue catfish action continues to be good at night on cut shad near creek channels.
POSSUM KINGDOM
GOOD. Water clear; 84-88 degrees; 0.09 feet below pool. Striper fishing is good. Live bait is ideal, but some can be caught trolling or on spoons. Look for them in 20-50 feet of water. White, chartreuse, and red are good colors. Sand bass are fair. Some are schooling in the late evenings. The schools are scattered. Small slabs and topwaters are the bait of choice for schooling fish. Catfish are slowing down slightly. Some can still be caught using live and cut shad. In 6-15 feet of water.
PROCTOR
SLOW. Water stained; 86-89 degrees; 9.95 feet below pool. Sand bass are good in numbers near the island.
WEATHERFORD
SLOW. Water stained; 84 degrees; 7.99 feet below pool. Catfish are good, spawning on shallow rocks with cut bait. Bass are slow on points with Texas or Carolina rigs and worms. Crappie are fair on deeper main lake brush piles and in the lights.
WHITNEY
GREAT. Water lightly stained; 85 degrees; 4.90 feet below pool. Crappie are good in 10-25 feet of water.
