Dublin Clean Up June 3

The Dublin Clean Up will be this Saturday, June 3 from 8 a.m. to noon, offering residents the opportunity to get rid of garage sale leftovers and other unneeded items. Plans are to once again allow drop off in the 100 block of North Park Street next to the library.

Items being accepted include televisions and CRT monitors and TVs (screens must be broken out), VCRs, DVD players, video game systems, cameras, sound systems, microwaves and appliances, as well as waste resulting from domestic operations such as household refuse, yard refuse, automotive parts, broken machinery and furniture.

Items that can’t be taken include chemicals, paint, bulbs, alkaline batteries, gasoline, oils, brush, freon items, tires and tire rims.

Volunteers are needed to help make this a successful event. This includes trucks and trailers with drivers 18 years or older, people to work at the collection site and people to help pick up items from homes on the pickup list.

Volunteers can sign up by calling 254-445-3331 or 254-967-1327. For their assistance, all volunteers will be provided with a free brisket lunch at the City Park following the event.
