The Texas Steak Cookoff is quickly approaching and citizens are invited to come on over to Hico for some great food, fun and music.
The event begins Friday, May 19 with a cookoff kickoff party with the Burger Bash and Street Dance.
The Original Texas Steak Cookoff event begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 20 in the historic downtown business district of Hico.
The family-friendly event offers a chance to see backyard chefs from all over the Southwest compete to have their steak named as the the best steak in Texas.
Eat a steak and enjoy artisan vendors, local shopping and live music.
Wine tickets are $30, dinner ticket with an appetizer wristband are $40, appetizer wristband $20, VIP ticket $150, ultimate steak cookoff dinner $175.
The cookoff is a competition for the best tasting 12 ounce Texas ribeye steak. Backyard Chef fees are $350.
