EDC appoints new board member

The Dublin Economic Development Corp. directors made quick work of a lengthy agenda at their regular monthly meeting Tuesday, March 28, filling a vacant seat on the seven-member board and acting on several grant requests.

In a unanimous vote, the board named Troy Camp to fill a board vacancy created by the recent resignation of longtime member and president Monte Thiebaud.

Camp, a local resident and Tarleton graduate, is manager of Bradberry Builders Supply.

The board also approved two event marketing grants including $500 for the Lions Club’s annual Dublin Stampede and $1,500 for the Chamber of Commerce’s recent St. Patrick’s celebration.

A chuckwagon breakfast is provided by the Erath County Cowboy Church during the 8 a.m. check-in. The ride begins at 9 a.m. followed by the trail run/ walk at 9:30 a.m.

Awards are presented during a lunch following the event, which will also include a live and silent auction.

Rifle and handgun raffle tickets are also available for $10 each with winners eligible for a Radical Firearms 556 and a SIG Sauer p356 XL 9mm. (Winners don’t need to be present at time of drawing.)
