Dublin Public Library is inviting people outdoors for the spring with some garden-centric activities On Saturday, April 8, the Library will host ‘Grow a Garden’ from 9 a.m. to 10 a. m.
Those signing up for this free event can get a garden bed in the community garden, free plants, seeds and expert growing help.
To sign up, text 254938- 8177.
The storywalk selection now on display keeps with the garden theme—”Miss Maple’s Seeds” by Eliza Wheeler.
Patrons can take a stroll across the Library lawn, visiting each station as they read the children’s book page by page.
The publisher describes the book on the back cover: “ Miss Maple gathers lost seeds that haven’t yet found a place to sprout. She takes them on field trips to explore places to grow. In her cozy maple tree house, she nurtures them; keeping them safe and warm until it’s time for them to find roots of their own, and grow into the magnificent plants they’re destined to become.”
The Tween book club has also chosen Chapters 1-6 of J.R.R. Tolkien’s “The Hobbit” for this month’s book club selection. Visit the library for more information and to check out a copy.
