FFA places high in busy week

Dublin FFA had a busy week from March 20-March 25, with several teams placing high at three Career and Leadership Development events. The teams started at Cisco College where the entomology team (left, middle) of Anabel Phelps, Octavio Garcia, David Greene, Alma Holguin and NavaLee White placed 2nd with Holguin and White placing 3rd and 4th individually. The Homesite team of Silverstre Ramirez, David Hernandez, Paige Wilson, Nomi Thompson and Andrew Butter also placed 2nd with Wilson and Hernandez placing 3rd and 4th individually. The cotton team (below) of Joli St. Germain, Skyler Morones, Maryli Garcia, Ron Bahena and Derek Ivey placed 3rd with St. Germain scoring 2nd individually. On Thursday, the teams were among 9,900 students at the Tarleton CDE with the homesite team (Paige Wilson, Jackie Gibson, Andrew Butter, David Hernandez and Nomi Thompson) ranking 3rd and team members Gibson and Butter placing 1st and 2nd individually. The entomology team won sweepstakes out of 120 teams in the event. Dublin FFA was at the Angelo State CDE event on Friday with the entomology team of David Greene, Anabel Phelps, NavaLee White, Mariana Ortiz, Alma Holguin placing 2nd overall and Ortiz placing 1st out of 139 contestants.
