Law enforcement were out in great numbers Monday, Feb. 27 at the Stephenville City Park.
On Monday afternoon, a juvenile attempted to escape law enforcement custody after a detention hearing was held at the Erath County Courthouse Annex.
After a short foot chase that led law enforcement officers from both the Erath County Sheriff’s Office and the Stephenville Police Department into the Stephenville City Park, the juvenile was taken back into custody without further incident.
“Due to the age of the juvenile, the name of the juvenile and the charges of which the juvenile received will not be released,” Erath CountySheriffMattCoates saidinastatement.
