Registration for the 5th Annual Love Run 5k and Mile Fun Run on Saturday, Feb. 11 is continuing and citizens are running to participate and support Transformation Pathway, Dublin’s local Christian Women’s/Men’s Job Corps ministry.
The event will start at the Dublin Public Library with registration/check-in from 8 a.m.-8:45 a.m. The 5K begins at 9 a.m. and the fun run at 9:15 a.m.
Tr a n s f o r m a t i o n Pathway’s vision is to make a positive impact on our community by offering a new pathway to reduce spiritual and economic poverty through mentoring, relationships, job preparedness and life skills, while teaching God’s word.
“The run benefits the job skills classes,” said volunteer Barbara Yoder, who added the event offers an extra way for them get involved with the community. “We really want to promote healthy lifestyles and stay connected to the community.”
Though advanced registration has passed, registration is still underway with $30 for adults and $25 for runners 17 and younger. There is no charge for the fun run. T-shirts will be provided for all participants in the 5K (while supplies last) and those participating in the fun run will all receive a medal.
Awards will be given to the top three male and female runners overall and in several age divisions for the 5K.
Packets can be picked up at the CWJC Will Do Good Thrift Market (106 N. Patrick) on Friday, Feb. 10 from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p. m.
