Community Table to be held at FMC 

The Community Table at Dublin First Methodist Church is now serving meals in the fellowship hall as well as performing deliveries.

The meals are free to the community the last Wednesday of every month, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Genealogical Society meeting Jan. 21

Basic Preservation Tips and Resources for Family Archives will be the subject of guest speaker Phyllis Kinnison of Tarleton State University’s Dick Smith Library.

Guests are always welcome to join in on activities and events of the Erath County Genealogical Society. Please join them at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21 at the Dublin Public Library when Kinnison will discuss basic preservation procedures for paper and photographic materials commonly found in family historical records.

She will also talk about online resources which detail preservation procedures for various formats such as rare books, photograph albums, scrapbooks, audio-visual materials, digitized materials, etc.

A short business meeting will precede the program. Contact ecgs.dpl@gmail. com to attend via Zoom. This program will not be recorded.

A handout will be provided to Zoom and In Person attendees.

Farewell reception slated for Sunday

Everyone is invited to a farewell reception for outgoing Erath County Emergency Management Coordinator Cyndi Smith.

The event is 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15 at the Morgan Mill Community Center, 406 County Road 156 in Morgan Mill.

Soft drinks and food will be available.

FBC Mobile food pantry

First Baptist Church of Dublin is hosting the Tarrant Area Food Bank Mobile Pantry every 1st Thursday of the month from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the church parking lot.
