GRANBURY
SLOW. Water slightly stained; 51-53 degrees; 8.14 feet below pool. Bass are slow to 3.35 pounds in 6-10 feet of water on jigs and square bills crankbaits. Crappie are slow on minnows. White bass are slow on jigs. Catfish are fair on cut shad drifting or jug lines.
FAIR. Water lightly stained; 49 degrees; 1.96 feet below pool.Striped bass to eight pounds continue to be fair to good on soft plastics fished on the lower ends. Crappie are good near deeper structure on the main lake and near deeper bends in the river near Tin Top. Some sand bass reports in the river above Hunter Park have been coming in. Largemouth bass are good in numbers near deeper docks and main lake points mid-lake. Some bird action near Indian Harbor has been reported pointing you to sand bass and smaller striped bass. Big blue catfish are being taken on shallow flats on the upper ends on cut bait.
POSSUM KINGDOM
GOOD. Water lightly stained; 42-48 degrees; 5.84 feet below pool. This last cold front dropped the lake temperature dramatically, but the fishing continues to be great across the board. Striper fishing continues to be great and steady in 18-30 feet of water. Most fish are being caught using live shad, and deadsticking with a white, chartreuse, or pink jigs. Sand bass are good using slabs, spoons, and small jigs fished on or near bottom in 15-25 feet of water. White seems to be the preferred color, but some are being caught using chartreuse or yellow. Catfish are good using cut shad fished on bottom in 10-20 feet of water. Water clarity 1-3 feet.
PROCTOR
SLOW. Water stained; 48 degrees; 8.95 feet below pool. The catfish bite is tough, but cut shad is outperforming cut carp and buffalo.
WEATHERFORD
SLOW. Water stained; 46 degrees; 7.14 feet below pool. All species of fish are slow and scattered in the cold water. Crappie are slow on deeper main lake points and brush with live minnows. Catfish are slow off rocks near the dam with cut bait and stink bait. White bass are slow on slabs. Bass are slow and chasing bait so cover lots of water with swimbaits, and crankbaits.
WHITNEY
GOOD. Water lightly stained; 52 degrees; 6.97 feet below pool. The cold weather has the crappie grouped up and the warming trend will turn the feed bag on. The best bite has come from shallow brush in 4-8 feet of water. Bigger fish are close to the main river channel suspended on standing timber or structure anywhere from 10-30 feet deep. With the cooler water temperatures use a larger bait, such as the FS300 from snacky lures and a 1/8 ounce head from eye hole jig paired with a 10 feet classic from Outlaw crappie poles.
