The Dublin Woman’s Thursday Club met for their last gathering of 2022 on Dec. 8.
Many thanks to Ben Pate for welcoming us to the Dublin Historical Museum for our meeting spot.
President Fran Journey called the meeting to order with 12 members present and only one absent. Two guests were also in attendance. Minutes were read and a quick recap of the December 10 book signing event were discussed as a sign up sheet was passed for workers.
Ben Pate presented the program of history of the grist mill. Many pictures and wonderful details of how the mill started and the hands that the ownership has passed through were relayed.
After a great Dublin history lesson from Ben the members were invited to walk across the street and enjoy a guided tour of the mill. We were so delighted to have an opportunity to do that and then just wander and look.
Many thanks to Ben for offering us a place to meet, the lovely program and the chance to see the history up close.
Next meeting will be a business meeting on Jan.12, 2023.
