A multi-county Farm and Ranch Seminar for farmers and ranchers conducted by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in District 8 is scheduled for December 8,2022. The Erath, Hood and Hamilton County location will be held at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research Center, 1229 N US 281, Stephenville, TX 76401.
The December 8th seminar will give participants the opportunity to receive up to eight CEUs. Topics include Pasture Management and Drought recovery by Dr. Larry Redmon, TDA (Texas Department of Agriculture) Laws and Regulations by Dr. Don Renchie, Pesticide Drift Management by Dr. Ben McKnight, TDA Laws and Regulations Compliance by Elizabeth Prokop, An IPM (Integrated Pest Management)) Approach to Insect Management in Forages by Dr. David Kerns, External Parasite Control in Livestock by Dr. Sonja Swiger. Alternative Herbicides for Weed Control in Pastures, I.D. & Management of Insects in Trees & Droughts Stress Recovery by Dr. David Appel and program evaluation.
Licensed commercial and non-commercial applicators will be able to obtain their required five hours within the first five hours of the program.
Program registration cost is $60, which includes lunch, breaks and handout materials.
