Body

BROWNWOOD

SLOW. Water stained; 66-70 degrees; 2.91 feet low. Bass are good to 5.50 pounds on crankbaits and swimbaits in 1-10 feet of water. Fish are in all stages of the spawn. Crappie are good to 1.75 pounds on minnows and jigs from 1-15 feet of water on the banks and around lighted docks. White bass are good to 2 pounds on an assortment of moving baits along the shallows and under the lights.

GRANBURY

SLOW. Water lightly stained; 65 degrees; 0.39 feet low. Striped bass can be caught on deep diving crankbaits, umbrella-rigs and live bait in 20-40 feet of water. Catfish are good on live and cut shad in 30-50 feet of water. Report provided by Kraig Sexton, Sexton’s Guide Service LLC. Bass fishing continues to be good with many catches up to six pounds. Seems like the shad spawn may be starting and with the bait fish shallow the bass are really feeding. Still catching a few fish on beds still. POSSUM KINGDOM

GOOD. Water lightly stained; 65 degrees; 1.92 feet low. Striper fishing has been fair, the fish are on the move not stopping anywhere very long. Live bait and jigs seem to be the best tactics. Sand bass are great catching good numbers on slabs, spoons, and live bait fished near the bottom of points. Catfish are good in shallow and deep water using small cut bait fished on or near bottom. PROCTOR

FAIR. Water stained; 66 degrees; 2.28 feet low. Gusty winds are still impacting the fishing. Crappie and sand bass are good in 12-15 feet of water on slabs and minnows. All other species are poor.

WEATHERFORD

GOOD. Water lightly stained; 63 degrees; 3.85 feet low. White bass are good on main lake humps and points using slabs and silver jigging spoons. Bass are good using finesse jigs and wacky worms. Crappie are good on main lake brush piles with minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair using cut bait on shallow points.

WHITNEY

GOOD. Water lightly stained; 66 degrees; 2.35 feet low. Striped bass are great in 22-45 feet of water throughout the reservoir using deep diving crankbaits, umbrella-rigs, but best on live shad.
