Body

BROWNWOOD

Water stained; 55-61 degrees; 2.37 feet low. Bass are good with catches up to 3 pounds on chatterbaits, crankbaits and shaky heads. Bass are shallow in water less than four feet. White bass are good on slabs and small jigs. Crappie are slow on minnows and jigs in 5-15 feet of water.

GRANBURY

Water lightly stained; 62 degrees; 0.10 feet low. Striped bass are slow, but can be caught mid lake in 25-50 feet of water on deep diving crankbaits, slabs and live bait. Report provided by Kraig Sexton, Sexton’s Guide Service LLC. Blue catfish are biting good on cut shad. As water temperatures increase, anglers should fish shallower flats in 4-10 feet of water along main channels and shallower feeder creeks for the most active fish. Flatheads have become more active in early evening hours and can be caught on cut or live shad and live bluegills/perch. Look for flatheads to be holding in or near timber and around rock structures

POSSUM KINGDOM

Water lightly stained; 55-60 degrees; 1.67 feet low. Striped bass have been hit-or-miss on both live and artificial baits. Sand bass are still missing from the main lake, with a few bites on shallow points early in the morning. Catfish are great on cut shad fished on bottom on the north end of the lake.

PROCTOR

Water clear; 61 degrees; 1.92 feet low. Sand bass are fair on RatLTraps on the west end of Proctor. Crappie are good around fishing docks and in 12-15 feet of water. Catfish are fair in Rush Creek. Black bass are fair. Hybrid striped bass are fair in deep water on RatLTraps.

WEATHERFORD

Water lightly stained; 58 degrees; 3.43 feet low. The water is warming and fish should be moving shallow. Bass are fair migrating shallow to spawning beds biting on creature baits. Crappie are good on main lake structure biting on jigs and minnows. Catfish should be moving shallow biting on cut bait.

WHITNEY

Water lightly stained; 64 degrees; 2.51 feet low. Striped bass are good in 20-60 feet of water. Look for fish suspended off the bottom as those are the ones that are feeding more actively. Artificials like deep diving crankbaits are working, but live bait is preferred. Fish are scattered throughout the reservoir from the dam all the way to the river.
