Dublin is headed to the Bi-District playoffs as they play Callisburg Wildcats at Boyd at 7 p.m. Admission is $5 with tickets available at the gate.

This playoff follows a 40-39 nail-biter against the Eastland Mavericks Friday under the Cervetto Field lights.

The home team were first to score in the first and led 12-10 at the half but every point for either team was well-earned due to tight defense.

“I feel like we played hard the whole game,” said Lions Head Football Coach/ Athletic Director Greg Hardcastle. “The kids really battled hard. We rushed for over 250 yards.”

Hardcastle also called the match-up the most complete game that the Lions have played all season, putting them in a good position as the 3-2 Dublin boys play the 4-1 Wildcats.

Hardcastle reported that the Wildcats have some good size on the defensive line but feel the Lions match. “We’re big upfront on the offensive line,” he said.

Chris Teten had 209 yards in passing and rushed for 93 yards in which he brought in two touchdowns.

Christian Ramirez rushed for 82 yards during which he brought in a TD, received for 42 with another and went 3 for 3 in PAT kicks.

Dalan Rasberry received for 135 in which he scored a TD and Mosiah Lolohea rushed in the first TD of the game.

Hardcastle encourages all Lions fans to make the trek to Boyd Friday night and yell for Dublin as they enter playoffs.
