Homecoming Dress Up days set for Dublin next week

Dublin's Homecoming will be held Friday, Sept. 11 against Keene. Students are encouraged to embrace their Lion Pride and dress up throughout the week. Dublin Dress up days include Tuesday - Adam Sandler Day, Wednesday - Camo Day, Thursday - Meme Look-A-Like Day and Friday-Extreme Green and Gold Day.

The winner of the Homecoming King will be announced during the community-wide pep rally on Friday, and Homecoming Queen will be announced at Friday night's game.

Community Salsa Canning Class set

Erath County Ag Extension in conjunction with Locked & Loaded will be hosting a community salsa canning class. The class will be held from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25 at Locked & Loaded Training Center, located at 205 N. Patrick in Dublin.

Learn how to can your own salsa. Everything is provided and you will take a jar of deliciousness home with you. $35 covers everything, but it must be paid by Sept. 18 to reserve your spot. Cash or check can be dropped off at Locked and Loaded, Wednesdays through Sundays. For more information call 254-445-2567.

9/11 ceremony set

A memorial ceremony for the 25th anniversary of 9/11 will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 11 at Art Briles Stadium in Stephenville.

The ceremony will take place on the home side in the breezeway area and seating will be provided. 'Together, we will reflect, remember, and pay tribute to the courage, sacrifice, and resilience shown on that day. We welcome everyone to join with us in remembrance, unity, and hope,' organizers said. — submitted

Free breakfast set for First Responders

All area first responders are invited to a free breakfast to be served by the Stephenville Area Elks Lodge on Sept. 11.

Breakfast will be served from 7 a.m. until 9 a.m. at 1560 W. Hyman St. in Stephenville. All first responders are welcome! — submitted

Dublin VFD requesting Gatorade restock

The Dublin Volunteer Fire Department is requesting a Gatorade restock. With an active fire season our volunteer fire department is out of Gatorade and is requesting individual servings of the sports drink.

Donations can be dropped off at the Dublin City Hall at 213 E. Blackjack open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Dublin ISD announces Barn Raising Bash

Dublin ISD invites the entire community to the Barn Raising Bash at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026, at the Dublin Secondary Campus.

This special community event will bring Dublin together in support of the vision for a new agriculture facility and barn for our students. The evening will feature a delicious meal, live music, live and silent auctions, tours of the district's current agriculture facilities, and plenty of great fellowship.

Agriculture education has a proud tradition in Dublin ISD, and this event is about investing in its future—creating opportunities for generations of Dublin students to learn, lead, and grow.

Comanche County to host Quanah Parker Day

Everyone is welcome to attend Quanah Parker Day at the Comanche County Museum Saturday, Sept. 12. The guest speaker will be Tommy Patterson speaking on arrowheads from 2-4 p.m.
