Byrn Rodeo Productions and lead sponsor Triple Crown Ford brought back the popular UPRA/CPRA sanctioned rodeo Friday, Aug. 21 and Saturday, Aug. 22 and crowds cheered cowboys and cowgirls taking on bucking bulls and broncs as well as testing their skills in calf roping. The arena saw 328 compete between the Friday slack event and Saturday night. The kids battled to hold on in mutton bustin’ at the beginning of Saturday night and a calf scramble where 14 Dublin FFA kids raced around the dirt for project money. Six of those students received $350. Rodeo organizers offered a special thanks to FFA officers and advisors for their support in cleaning the grounds. Chase Nolen returned to entertain with his rodeo clown antics while Leah Self carried the colors in the National Anthem and showed off her trick riding skills.
