National Day of the Cowboy is on the horizon and Dublin is set to celebrate Saturday, June 25.
The event will benefit the Dublin Rodeo Heritage Association and Museum, and is presented by Lilly G Arena Productions.
Festivities will kick off at the Dublin City Park Arena at 2 p.m. with local entertainer Tim Turnbeaugh playing country music.
At 2:30 p.m., area folks will be recognized for their efforts to help preserve the community’s rich rodeo heritage.
Zach Foster from Adamsville will take the stage at 3 p.m. bringing back the tradition of country music with a touch of Christian emphasis with his smooth, clear voice, highlighting his personal sound, rodeo museum and event organize Rick Taylor said.
Barrell racing exhibitions will begin at 4 p.m. and are $5 each.
At 6:30 p.m. the all-new inauguration of the Miss Lilly G Rodeo Texas will take place under the director of Sarah Schmitt.
Last but not least, at 7 p.m. the National Day of the American Cowboy 5D Barrel Race, brought to you by Alabaster Beauty and Wellness in Dublin, with $1,000 in added money will take place.
Entry is $50 with a $10 office fee.
“Join us for a day of music, food, vendors, rodeo Queens, horses, barrel racing and fun,” Taylor said.
