Several local graduates were recognized by their respective universities.
Abilene Christian
Abilene Christian University congratulates Dean’s Honor Roll students for the Spring 2026 semester. Students earn Dean’s Honor Roll recognition by achieving a 3.6 or higher GPA while enrolled in at least 12 credit hours.

Sam Houston State University Hayden French of Stephenville received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History, Magna Cum Laude, during the 2026 spring semester at Sam Houston State University.
University of Texas- Tyler Audrey Brandon of Stephenville was named to the spring 2026 President’s Honor Roll at the University of Texas at Tyler.
To qualify for the President’s Honor Roll at UT Tyler, a student must have completed, in one term, 12 or more credit hours of undergraduate college-level credit with a grade of “A” in all courses.
Angelo State University
More than 175 Angelo State University studentathletes, including Talon Philips of Stephenville, TX, have been named to the Lone Star Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll for their academic performance during the spring 2026 semester.
The LSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll is announced at the conclusion of each fall and spring semester. To be eligible for the recognition, student-athletes must have a minimum 3.30 grade point average (GPA) for the semester and be on the institution’s sports roster. ASU honorees include 75 student-athletes who posted a perfect 4.0 GPA in the spring.
Philips is majoring in Exercise Science at Angelo State.
Participants in all 19 LSC championship sports, as well as three non-conference NCAA sports, and student staff who assist with athletic training, athletic performance and sports information are included among the spring 2026 honorees.

Midwestern State
Parker Allen Plaxco graduated from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas, in Spring 2026 with a Bachelor of Science in Education, Sport Coaching, Lead, & Admin, cum laude. Midwestern State University had 606 undergraduate and graduate students in Spring 2026 with the provision that they meet all requirements as prescribed by the faculty and administration.
University of Mississippi
Kooper Vanden Berge, of Stephenville, TX, was named to the University of Mississippi’s Spring 2026 Honor Roll lists.
Vanden Berge, in the B.S.M.E. in Mechanical Engineering program, was named to the Dean’s Honor Roll, which is reserved for students who earn a semester GPA of 3.50-3.74.
To be eligible for honor roll designation, a student must have completed at least 12 graded hours for the semester and may not be on academic probation during the semester.
