At the Dublin Celebrates America250 kickoff Block Party at the Dublin Public Library on July 3, kids and adults alike enjoyed hot dogs served by Dublin Rotary Club (above,), a dessert potluck (right) and special commemorative bottles of Dublin Bottling Works Soda available for those making donations to the historic train depot. ENOK performed some patriotic favorites on a stage by the Sunflower-filled community garden while Ben Pate, Zac Stephens and Lena Anderson spoke about the founding fathers who risked so much for their beliefs in signing the Constitution. Special red, white and blue haybales are set up on the library lawn for photo ops, and a free closing ceremony/open house is set for the train depot Friday, July 31 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. featuring a flag retirement ceremony and free apple pie, cobbler and ice cream.
