Pamela Anice Davis, a beloved schoolteacher known for her kind and giving spirit, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Coleman County Medical Center in Coleman, Texas. Born Pamela Anice Whitehead on December 11, 1951, in Dublin, Texas, she dedicated her life to education, her family, and the many friends she held dear. Pamela’s early years were rooted in Dublin, where she graduated from Dublin High School.

She pursued higher education at Tarleton State University, earning a master’s degree in psychology and education.

Her academic achievements laid the foundation for a career that would take her to various communities including Breckenridge, Cleburne, Giddings, and Tolar. Throughout her years as a schoolteacher, Pamela left an indelible impact on countless students, always nurturing their growth with unwavering love and dedication.

Her passion for teaching extended beyond the classroom, as she forged lasting friendships that she cherished as family.

In her personal life, Pamela found joy in the simple pleasures of the outdoors, often embarking on camping trips that allowed her to connect with nature. She was a devoted lover of Boston Terriers, sharing a special bond with her pets. A fervent basketball fan, Pamela followed her favorite teams, the Dallas Mavericks, and the San Antonio Spurs, with enthusiasm and spirit.

Pamela also enjoyed reading many good books that broadened her imagination and teaching. Among her proudest accomplishments was her marriage to Dean Phillip Davis on December 30, 1982, in Dublin—a union that brought her immense happiness and companionship.

Pamela’s warmth and generosity touched many lives. She is survived by her loving husband, Dean Davis of Coleman; her son, Eli Davis of Marble Falls; and her beloved granddaughter, Quinn Davis, who brought her immense joy. She is also remembered by her brother, Weldon Whitehead of Dublin, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins who hold her memory dear.

Pamela was preceded in death by her parents, George Whitehead and Lillian Lowery Whitehead, and by her brother, Jim Whitehead.

Pamela Anice Davis’s life was a testament to kindness, dedication, and love. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her, but her legacy will endure in the hearts of her family, friends, and the many students she inspired throughout her remarkable career. The family will host a visitation at 1 p.m. followed by a funeral service celebrating her life at 2 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2026, at First Baptist Church in Dublin located at 220 E. Live Oak Street in Dublin.

Interment will follow in the Erath Garden of Memories Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.

Serving as pallbearers will be Craig Barker, Cannon Barker, Cayden Barker, Gary Gallagher, Eddie Leatherwood, and Dan Whitehead.
