GOOD. Water stained; 55 degrees; 2.78 feet below pool. Black bass to 4 pounds are slow on all-around jigs, shallow crankbaits on the rocks and docks, and with 5-7 inch minnow style baits scoping main lake pockets suspended over 18-25 feet. Crappie are excellent to 1.75 pounds on minnows, pink and yellow or shad colored jigs on the main lake scattered brush piles, or shooting jigs under docks in 18-22 feet. White bass are slow to 1.50 pounds in the lights and scattered around the main lake. Catfish are slow on jug lines with cut shad or perch in the main lake ditches and drains.
GRANBURY
FAIR. normal stain; 55 degrees; 0.28 feet below pool. Water temperatures have been see-sawing from the low to upper 50s depending on the weather. The lake is close to full pool and clarity is good. There are some floating hazards on the upper ends due to water releases from the north. Fishing reports have been slow to fair for most species except for crappie. Crappie are good near submerged structures when baitfish are holding. Crappie can be caught slowly working small jigs. The best crappie action is in town and upstream. Striped bass are slow to fair on live bait and jigs worked in 20-30 feet of water on the lower ends from Striper Alley to the dam. White bass are slow, but are suspended in the channel or near channel ledges from Sandy Point to Indian Harbor.
POSSUM KINGDOM GOOD. Water stained; 58 degrees; 2.47 feet below pool. Stripers are slow to fair in 28-35 feet of water. Still catching a bunch of short fish, but there have been a few keepers mixed in. Live bait is out performing artificials. Sand bass are fair in 30-35 feet of water on main lake points and sand flats. White is the best color, but chrome is also catching a few. Throw in a few chartreuse lures to change it up and give the fish something different every now and then for best results. Catfish are fair to good fishing cut shad on or near the bottom in 25-35 feet of water. Live shad has also been producing a few fish while catfishing.
PROCTOR
FAIR. Water stained; 53 degrees; 2.64 feet below pool. The cold front pushed fish to deep ledges and points. Before the cold front catfish were in 18-21 feet, and shallower on warmer days. Crappie are on ledges in about 18-21 feet. Bass moved to deep ledges. Hybrids are in the upper end of the lake main river channel.
WEATHERFORD
SLOW. Water stained; 50 degrees; 5.69 feet below pool. Crappie are slow to fair at the crappie house with minnows and jigs. When the cools again the crappie should pick up. Bass are slow around docks with crankbaits. Bass are moving to deeper water ledges for the winter pattern. Catfish are slow around rock with liver or stink bait. The visibility is 10 inches.
