Antonio Andrade Corral, 50, of Dublin was killed in a car accident Friday, June 16 two miles west of Desdemona.
According to information released by the Texas Department of Public Safety, the wreck occurred at 12:20 a.m. on Farm-to-Market 2214, milepost at County Road 431 in a 70 mph zone.
The preliminary investigation states that Corral was traveling westbound while driving a 2013 Dodge Avenger. He reportedly drove across and into the wrong side of the roadway striking a 2018 Prevost bus being driven by Raquel Camacho, 54, of Levelland.
Camacho was transported with serious incapacitating injuries and Corral was pronounced dead on the scene of the crash by Justice of the Peace John Glenn.
Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts.
The accident was investigated by Trooper Bobbie M. Shields with Eastland Texas Highway Patrol.
Trooper Brandon K. Smedley, Texas Highway Patrol Commercial Vehicle Enforcement – Eastland and Deputy Colby Jackson Eastland County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene of the accident.
