The November meeting of the Dublin Woman’s Thursday Club was held in the Dublin Historical Museum on Thursday, November 9 at 4 p.m. Twelve members were present and seven absent as the roll was called by Patty Hirst in the absence of Secretary Judith Lemons.

Leta Sage, presiding for Fran Jurney took efficient charge of the program with the business meeting. Letters of thanks were read from First Methodist Church for the 43 hygiene bags donated or their food pantry boxes.

Notes from Sheryl Rasher, the CWJC, and Wyndi Veigel were also read. Announcements regarding the closing of the Dublin Public Library for new carpet and other renovations were made. Members were also asked to volunteer to help pack up the library contents for storage while the upgrades are being done.

The library will close on November 18 at 2 p.m. and hopefully reopen with a facelift on December 9.

All members were asked to sign up for a time to help in putting things back in place for the library to get back to work.

Historical Markers of Erath County was the program with Leta Sage and Erynn Sprouse as hosts. A lovely list of all markers throughout the county, pictures of many of the markers and the link to a wonderful database was shared with all members.

The schedules of several members as well as health issues have hindered committee meetings; therefore, there will be a lengthy January business meeting to handle concerns of the club that have not been addressed.

With a busy night ahead of community meetings and events, Edilisa Jimeniz made a motion that the meeting be adjourned at 4:45 p.m. and was seconded by Denise Weems.

Pam Crabtree will host the December 14 meeting at the fellowship hall of the Church of Christ.
