The deadline is quickly approaching for those wanting to make sure they are registered to vote in the Nov. 7 Constitutional Amendment Election.
Texas law requires eligible voters to register by the 30th day before Election Day. The voter registration deadline for the Nov. 7 Election is Oct. 10.
To confirm your voter registration status, you can visit the Texas Secretary of State’s Am I Registered portal, which allows you to look up your voter registration record in the statewide voter registration database.
For those wanting to register to vote for the first time, they can complete an application using the Secretary of State’s Online Voter Registration Application at http://www. votetexas.gov.Applicants will simply fill in the required information, print, sign and mail the completed application directly to your county election office.
You can also contact or visit your voter registrar to complete the voting process.
It is important to note the Erath County Voter Registration office is moving to the County Annex No. 2, located at 222 E. College Street and that is also where the main voting location will be held.
