One Act Play cast members and the Dublin High School drama department recently received a donation from Karen Wright of historic robes from the Knight of Pythias, an international fraternal organization that met in the community for many years and in the building where Blackjack Office Center is now located. According to Wright, members of the organization came and took many historic robes for their musuem. The rest were donated to the drama department at the suggestion of Pat Leatherwood. Though the robes are not used in this year’s performance of the One Act play, a community performance of ‘A Monster Calls’ will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 13 at the auditorium, 419 N. Camden. One Act performers will compete at region on April 20 at Clyde for a chance to advance to state.
