The Dublin Rotary Club made a trip to Dallas Saturday in a chartered bus and saw the SMU-Arkansas football game at Ownby Stadium. Rotarians and their wives and friends made the trip.

After the football game the group went to the Baker hotel and enjoyed dinner served in a private dining room on the messine floor. All expressed themselves as having had a wonderful time on the bus as well as at the game.

Do you want your city money spent on a $1,200 per day fine or hire a part time certified operator for the water and sewer?

The City of Dublin, written to Mayor Everett Hightower, dated July 1972, received a letter from the Texas State Department of Health stating that their records indicated that the City of Dublin is violating Article 447701 of Texas Sanitation and Health Protection Law, Section 11 and 20 because no operator holding a valid certificate of competency are supervising water and waste facilities.

The state law says that the city of Dublin will have to hire two certified operators for the water and sewer. If not hired within a reasonable time the city of Dublin will be fined $1,200 per day until one is hired.
