J.D. Brock Groceries

Oct. 17, 1947 At the regular meeting of the city council Tuesday night at the city hall three speakers presented to the Council the need in Dublin of a city improvement program in order that the people may have adequate water, sewerage, fire protection and recreation for the young people.

Kenneth Huff, Secretary of the Chamber of Commerce, presented a resolution that was passed at a called meeting of this organization, asking that the City Council call an election for these improvements, in an amount that they thought adequate.

W.P. Hallmark, Fire Chief, told the City Dads that Dublin was going to have to fix their water main in the near future if they expected to keep the low key insurance rate that this city now enjoys.
