The Woman’s Thursday Club of Dublin will be celebrating its 125th birthday this month.
The Dublin Citizen would like to congratulate the service organization and thank them for their continued support for the Dublin community.
From a Oct. 28, 1898 edition of The Dublin Progress.
“Thursday evening, 20th inst, was an occasion in which the members of “The Woman’s Thursday Club” had been looking forward with much pleasure for several weeks, in that it was the time appointed for an open session of the club, and Mrs. Eugene McQueen was to be our hostess. On account of illness several were unable to be with us, but those present announced it was one of the most enjoyable receptions we have had. The program was not long, but made up in quality what it lacked in quantity.” Happy 125th birthday, ladies!
