Graduation is right around the corner and Dublin’s top two grads have been named.
Ayush Patel was named as the Dublin High School Class of 2023 Valedictorian and Trinity Haby as the class Salutatorian.
Patel is the son of Dipin and Manisha Patel.
He is planning to attend the University of Texas at Austin with a major in Exercise Science to eventually become a physical therapist.
While in high school, Patel has been president of Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), National Honor Society President, Vice President of Workforce Industry Training (WIT), Student Council Vice President, participated in Future Problem Solvers (FPS), UIL Academics, Varsity basketball, tennis and cross country, TRIO program, Educational Talent Search (ETS) and Upward Bound.
Haby is the daughter of Heidi and Clinton Haby.
She is planning to attend Tarleton State University with a major in business marketing. Her future plans include starting a housefl ipping business, a bakery and a boutique as well as working with nonprofits to help those in need.
While in high school, she had been involved in One-Act Play, National Honor Society, WIT, Boerne Varsity Dance, athletic training, Dublin Varsity Cheer, dual credit and has helped restore the Dublin Lions Club lion statue. She was also the Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen third place winner.
Dublin ISD will host their graduation Friday, May 26 at Bob and Norma Cervetto Field. Graduation is open to all friends and family and kicks off at 7 p.m. Dublin’s final day of school is this Friday, May 19 with early release at 1:15 p.m. for elementary and intermediate school and secondary release at 1:20 p.m.
Lingleville ISD will also host their graduation at 7 p.m. Friday, May 26 at the high school gymnasium. Graduation is open to all family and friends. Lingleville’s final day of school is Thursday, May 25 with early release at 1 p.m.
