Running Out

I’m wondering if many companies still rely on time clocks (to track times of arrival and departure). I clocked in and out each day when working at JCPenney in Dewitt, NY. It’s hard to believe that was 56 years ago… Clocking in was as routine as slipping out of my coat. While working, I anticipated the time to clock out at the end of my shift.

Today, most workers time is likely tracked by logging in and out of their job computers.

In life, our time is tracked by birth and death.

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die (Ecclesiastes 3:1-2a KJV).”

To all, there is a time of God’s judgment.

“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment (Hebrews 9:27 KJV).”

Jesus spoke of another time; a time of second birth.

“Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit (John 3:7-8 KJV).”

I have compared death to clocking out or logging out.

Time is running out; be prepared.
