Revitalize Dublin has called out four Dublin homeowners for their part in making Dublin a more attractive place to live and visit in its new “You Make Dublin Look Good” campaign.

The new program to promote the beautification of Dublin is planned through November 2024.

Campaign Leaders will select one home from the four quadrants of the city by the 10th of each month. Candidates are picked for presenting a polished, organized, and well maintained outward appearance of their residence.

Recognition includes a “You make Dublin Look Good” sign in their yard for a month. The resident will receive gifts or gift cards from local businesses and recognition in the Dublin Citizen newspaper. Each monthly winner will be entered into an end-of-year drawing for a grand prize at the Revitalize Dublin year end event. Each winner must continue to maintain the property and be a shining example to the community. (Selected residents can opt out if they do not want the recognition. If they’d like to do so, they can call the numbers at the end of this article.)

Selection criteria includes the overall appearance, tidiness, and neatness of the front of the property as evidenced by pruned, trimmed and shaped shrubs, edged and defined lawns, flower beds and a visually appealing façade. Lawns do not have to be green to win as the city often has water restrictions and unbearable Texas summer heat.

Walkways and driveways must be clean and free of trash and debris. The home’s front entry area should be clean and can display special touches such as pots of flowers, figurines, benches, or door wreaths.

Houses can not win more than once in a given year. Houses can also be nominated for selection by calling Gladys at 254485-6070 or Ashley at 254- 334- 2744.
