The following first responder calls were made July 6-July 13. Local first responders handled 74 calls during this time frame and PD completed 34 traffic stops.
Dublin PD July 6
Power/Phone line was reported down at the entrance to the library. Criminal mischief reported.
A back door alarm was activated in the 400 block of Edwards Drive.
July 7
While a person was getting ready, they heard what sounded like glass breaking and noticed a window broken in the 400 block of North Patrick.
A suspicious person call was reported in the 100 block of Comanche Street when an individual reported a man in their yard. Keith Gesegnet was arrested for public intoxication.
A person in the 100 block of Scenic Drive had a deer in her back yard with what appears to be broken hindlegs. Caller left a message for a game warden but requested an officer to see if they could help.
A front door alarm was activated in the 400 block of South Patrick.
A company hit a gas line in the 400 block of East Harris and Atmos was notified. 414 E. Harris was evacuated while first responders waited on a team to get there to fix the line.
A vehicle crash occurred in the 200 block of East Live Oak between a 2012 Dodge pickup and a White Honda CRV.
Two vehicles hit each other in the DQ drive thru line. No injuries.
Suspicious activity was reported in the 500 block of South Patrick Street.
A theft was reported when an individual stated her two dogs were stolen from her yard. Animal control met her at the shelter.
July 9
Two dogs were reported in the 200 block of East May Street to be loose and chasing workers. Public Works came and collected the dogs.
A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 100 block of South Patrick.
A suspicious vehicle with a kid crying left Comanche Street, headed towards DeLeon.
A semitruck with no lights was reported driving past the police station on Blackjack.
July 10
A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 200 block of East Blackjack.
A reckless driver was reported on Hwy. 377 when a vehicle behind the reporting person was unable to maintain a lane and was following too closely. The vehicle was not located.
A person in the 300 block of North Grafton requested animal control for a dog that keeps getting out. Person stated he couldn’t keep her contained and could no longer take care of her.
A welfare concern was issued for an individual filling out an application for Meals on Wheels. Person stated they were going to have a seizure, ran in the house, came back out for a minute, then ran back in.
A reporting person requested a controlled burn be checked on.
Dublin PD assisted county with a warrant service.
A disturbance was reported in the 500 block of East Elm Street with two males yelling at each other.
July 11
PD was out with EMS on a call.
A person in the 300 block of North Norton requested assistance with a cat that might have been stuck behind a tree. The reporting person stated they were going for a walk when the cat got scared and ran. The reporting person was afraid the cat’s leash might be wrapped around something that would harm her.
A vehicle crash occurred on East Mesquite when a reporting person was hit by a vehicle that ran a stop sign. There were no injuries and a report was taken.
A person requested an officer in reference to drug usage in his neighborhood.
A disturbance was reported in the 500 block of East Elm Street. The reporting individual stated another male grabbed his throat. Situation occurred on East Harris.
A citizen requested contact from PD. A family was out for a bike ride in the 600 block on North Park when an aggressive dog caused a bike crash.
An aggressive dog was on the loose in the area in the 600 block of North Post Oak. Dog was not located.
July 12
A reporting person advised they could smell natural gas heavily in their home in the 200 block of Mills Street. Atmos was contacted. The neighbors hit a gas line.
Lightning struck a pole on FM 1702 and South Liberty. The pole was in the roadway and sparking. The Co-op was notified.
A reckless driver was reported on Hwy. 6. A white Ford Explorer had been speeding up, slowing down and changing lanes at the same time as the semi-truck. Odd driving behavior also exhibited. Driver was not located.
July 13
Suspicious activity was reported when someone kept knocking on a door in the 400 block of North Patrick, and no one was there.
Mariano Maillot was arrested on a warrant for DWI third.
Someone’s vehicle was hit in the parking lot in the 200 block of North Patrick and the other party was refusing to give insurance information.

July 8 – an elderly person was choking on a walnut and was having a hard time breathing.
