An investigation is underway after an officer-involved shooting took place in De-Leon over the weekend.
According to information released by the Comanche Police Department, on Saturday, Oct. 14 at approximately 11:16 p.m. the DeLeon and Comanche Police Departments were dispatched to a 911 call in the 600 block of South Bowie Street in DeLeon.
The 911 caller reported that an individual had forcibly entered the residence and she had been stabbed. Upon the officer’s arrival at the location, they were confronted by the suspect who was armed with a large knife. Offi cers were reportedly forced to shoot the suspect and upon Emergency Medical Services’ arrival, the suspect was declared deceased.
This incident is being investigated by the Texas Ranger Division of the Texas Department of Public Safety.
