The Erath County Sheriff’s Office was notified by the Texas Department of Health of a positive rabies exposure in the area of County Road 230.
Several puppies were located near the Erath/Hood county line which were moved to an address near County Road 230 prior to testing positive. The remaining animals have been placed under quarantine and are being monitored.
This is another great reminder to make sure you are vigilant and keeping all of your animals properly vaccinated, ECSO said.
