In the overnight hours of Monday, Aug. 14, Erath County Sheriff’s deputies were involved in a vehicle pursuit that ended at the intersection of Patrick and Clinton.
According to Erath County Sheriff’s Deputy Captain Tye Box, at approximately 11:21 p.m., a deputy attempted to stop a car for a traffic violation on Hwy. 377 South. The vehicle was southbound toward the city of Dublin.
The driver of the suspect vehicle refused to stop even though the deputy had activated emergency lights and siren.
Backup Deputies joined the pursuit and the suspect vehicle finally stopped at the intersection.
The driver, Damona Silva, 24, was taken into custody for Evading Arrest/Detention in a Motor Vehicle and transported to Erath County Jail.
There were no injuries and no property damage from this incident.
