There was a report of a strong gas odor at the Post Office. Atmos was contacted and they were unable to locate a gas leak anywhere.
A reporting person called about someone on a blue bike with a flash light on South Camden around the storage building behind the police department. An officer went to check out the situation and the bike was found, but no persons were located around the area. Officers will patrol the area.
Officers talked to a male subject at a vacant residence in the 500 block of South Park. The subject advised he lost his phone back there.
An officer located an abandoned vehicle on the side of the road in the 1000 block of North Patrick that could have car problems.
Sexual assault of a child reported to the Erath County Sheriff’s Office that occurred in Dublin. Dublin Police will be investigating this case.
A reporting person is unable to get out of her car in the 400 block of West Blackjack because of a large black dog. The owner of the dog was located and received a citation for animal at large.
Oct. 19
A reporting person went to let his dogs out in the 1000 block of North Patrick and saw someone jump out of the bed of his truck, a Hispanic male that ran toward the back of the apartments heading north. Officers observed a male subject running in the field with his phone flashlight headed towards a barn. Officers searched the area and could not locate anyone.
Oct. 20 A reporting person was at the station to report a white
vehicle that was over at the church and looked like he was watching kids or taking photos. The owner of the vehicle was located and he was trying to get in touch with his sister to pick up a box for her to take to work.
A reporting person came into the station to say that an older white Dodge truck with a camper shell on the back got angry with her at Bigs gas station and followed her around the block and possibly took pictures of her.
A reporting person came to the station to report her storage building behind DQ was broken into.
A reporting person came to the station to speak with an officer about someone threatening her.
Oct. 21
A reporting person advised that dogs are barking next door to her in the 700 block of North Grafton that is supposed to be vacant. She saw a light come on inside of the house. Officers made sure the house is secure and advised the house was sold to another person.
A reporting person in the 200 block of Johnson said that a male and female are at her residence causing problems and pulled a 9mm gun. Officers arrived on scene and spoke with all of the parties at the residence who denied there was a gun pulled. The gun was confiscated from the vehicle along with witness statements for a report.
A reporting person stated her son was running down the road on East Hwy. 6 refusing to get into the car in front of the cemetery. The child ran through the cemetery back to the high school.
Oct. 22
There was a report of a runaway last seen at the high school. An officer made contact with the mother and she advised the kids may be at Peacock’s getting food. The kids were located at TSU.
There was a building check with an unlocked door in the 100 block of North Grafton. The building was secured and locked.
Oct. 23
There was a report of a male subject standing in the back of a pickup in the 400 block of West Clinton possibly under the influence of something. Officers made the scene and found the male subject laying in the yard intoxicated and called a family member to come get him. He received a public intoxication citation as well as a criminal trespass.
There was a report of a hit and run in the 400 block of West Mesquite.
There was a report of vehicle blocking the road where nobody can get through on East Liveoak Street. Officers spoke with the parties that were trimming trees from the power lines and they agreed to move the vehicles.
