A reporting person requested a welfare check on co-worker who did not show up to work. Contact was made over the phone and she was OK.

There was a report of a dog in the 700 block of North Grafton that is on a chain and never seems to have water out there. The call was referred to Animal Control.

There was a subject walking around near Dairy Queen that looks to have a beer. Officers in the area did not locate anyone with a beer walking around.

A reporting party stated someone broke into his shop in the 600 block of South Norton and they believe they know who did it. The subject allegedly took some stuff and pawned it in Stephenville.

March 27

There was a report of a white/tan pitbull that was acting aggressive that belonged to a neighbor in the 400 block of Hoffman. An officer made the scene and secured the dog, and they made contact with the owner to advise them of their options the next time the dog is loose.

March 28

There was a report of a car illegally parked in front of the reporting person’s house. Officer spoke to the neighbor and advised the caller did not want them parking on their property.

There was a report of a dog off a leash trying to attack bystanders in the 300 block of South Park. The officer made contact with the owner and he said he slips his collar, but he won’t bite anyone. Officer advised them to get a cage of some sort, and the next time could result in receiving a citation for animal at large.

There was a report of a shots fired and a male running towards the park in dark clothing in the 300 block of West Sheridan. Officers went to the area to search for the individual that was reported. Officers did not observe gun fire and did not locate anyone of that description. Officers remained on a close patrol throughout the night.

March 29

There was a report of a door open on a vacant house in the 800 block of Preston Lane. An officer made scene and found a back door was left open, the house was in the process of being remodeled. Nothing looks to have been tampered with and an officer secured the house.

A reporting person called from a bank in reference to a credit card fraud case.

A reporting person requested a civil standby to get a few items from someone that is refusing to give them back. An officer made the scene and the property was returned, and a criminal trespass was issued to the reporting person.

There was a report of a male laying in the grass in the 300 block of West Valley that was wearing blue jeans and black hoodie with a cap that the caller had never seen. Officer spoke to the individual and he stated that he was working on the house with family members and he was taking a break.

An officer was out with a vehicle at One Stop and checked the building to make sure it was secure.

March 30

An officer was out with a burn ban violation in the 400 block of West Mesquite. The resident owner was given a warning for burning materials that were not supposed to burned in the city.

A welfare check was conducted with someone suffering from a PTSD episode.

March 31

A reporting person in station had some questions about a crash report.
