A reporting party in the 400 block of West O’Neil advised their neighbor was playing loud music and wanted it turned down. Officer made contact and the music was turned down.

A custody issue was handled.

A reporting party in the 200 block of West Liveoak heard a gunshot coming from behind the library. Officer responded and was unable to locate anyone or any vehicles. Officer stayed in the area for an extended period and did not hear anything that would indicate gunshots. It was thought the noise might be fireworks somewhere in the distance.

A reporting person contacted the department in regards to a civil process serving issue. The person attempted to serve the court documents to a person in Dublin and they stated they would file harassment charges on him. The caller just wanted to let the department know what the issue was if the person did attempt to file charges.

A reporting party at Dollar General said the couple that stole the other day was back and the store manager wanted a criminal trespass on them. Officer made contact with the two individuals and issued criminal trespass warnings.

Dec. 27

There was an open door at a commercial building in the 100 block of North Patrick. An officer checked the building and secured the door.

A person came by the station to speak to an officer about a situation with two vehicles.

A reporting person advised there was a lot of car debris, possibly someone wrecked and left the scene sometime overnight.

A reporting person at Kingdom Kids requested a welfare check on a person sitting on the bench at the Baptist Church. Officers checked with the male and he was just taking a break from walking.

Dec. 28

Officers spoke to both parties involved in a civil issue.

Dec. 29

Officers were involved with a child custody case.

Dec. 30

A reporting person in the 600 block of Ireland stated there was a male knocking on her door. Officer went to the residence, checked the area and did not locate anyone. Close patrol was conducted throughout the night.

A reporting person requested a welfare check on their children. Children were OK.

Dec. 31

Dublin PD assisted another agency on a traffic stop.

There was an open door at the community building with two ladies standing near the door. Officers arrived on scene, no one was there. They checked the building and secured it.

A reporting person in the 300 block of North Camden stated she was going to bed and someone was near the window. Officers arrived, searched around the house and did not locate anyone. A close patrol was done throughout the night.
