Report of a dog bite was referred to Erath County.
The reporting person requested a welfare check on an elderly male whose electric wheelchair battery died and he can’t go anywhere.
A 6-year-old girl was bit by a family cat. The call was referred to animal control.
A caller advised there was someone banging on the back door in the 600 block of North Patrick. Officers made the scene and there was nobody around the house upon the arrival. A close patrol was requested for the night.
Aug. 22
A civil standby was requested to get daughter’s clothes out of an ex’s vehicle.
Aug. 23
Wade Taylor was arrested on a warrant for a failure to comply with sex offender registry.
There was a welfare check on the reporting person’s mom, her phone is going to voicemail and her daughter is with her. Everything was OK, cell towers have been down.
A reporting person requested a welfare check on her mom. The dog was barking but she can’t get anyone to come to the door. Officer made contact with individual, they were OK.
Cameras were down at a business and a close patrol was requested for the night.
Aug. 24
There was an open door at the high school. An officer secured the building and locked the door.
Aug. 25
A 9-year-old called 911 for two members of his family fighting. Officers arrived on scene, advised it was verbal only and the parties agreed to separate for the night.
Aug. 26
Officers responded to a custody dispute.
There was a male subject riding on a scooter with a skeleton mask on through the reporting person’s front yard at a high rate of speed. Officer was unable to locate anyone but continued to patrol the area.
There was a female lying in front of post office on the sidewalk. An officer made contact with the individual who was not injured but admitted to consuming alcohol. She refused to call her son to come get her. Tina Gregory was arrested for public intoxication.
Aug. 27
A reporting person was at Allsup’s in Dublin and needed a ride to Stephenville.
There was a report of a blind dog at the airport in Dublin. An officer tried to locate the dog but it had already left.
A reporting person advised she heard gun shots in the area of Grafton/O’Neil and had heard it the previous Sunday as well. They did not see anyone with weapons and stated it could have been coming from East Dobkins Street. An officer checked the area and did not locate anything. Close patrols will continue.
