July 17

A reporting person came into the station to report that a checking account was opened with her social and she has been getting notifications about it through email and texts.

Officers were advised there were two goats out in the 1000 block of North Patrick that possibly belong to the property behind the apartments.

A caller advised she has some screen shots of a conversation on Snapchat that a male sent her daughter.

July 18

Officers investigated a home for potential drug activity.

A caller believed her phone was stolen from the library and it pinged to an address in Stephenville. The reporting person doesn’t want to press charges, she just wants her phone back. Stephenville PD was contacted.

July 19

An officer stopped for a motorist assist on 377 loop and Highway 6 west for a broke down car.

July 20

There was a report of a dog on Grafton Street that is chained up to a tree with no food or water. An officer made scene and the dog did have water, food and shelter.

A reporting person came into the station to get a criminal trespass.

An agency assist was requested for a male subject that was involved in a road rage incident last seen headed south on FM 219. Officers responded but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Someone hit one of the stalls at Sonic and caused damage. The vehicle that was involved left parts of the vehicle there.

A reporting person stated someone knocked on their screen window in the 800 block of Courtney. Officers made the scene, but did not locate anyone. A close patrol was done throughout the night.

July 21

A reporting person went to check on a patient and they were not answering the door. Officer made scene to speak with the nurse and the patient finally came to the door. Everything was okay.

Daniel Cowett was arrested for assault family violence after a domestic disturbance.

A reporting person in the 1000 block of West Blackjack reported that it sounded like someone was beating a dog and they heard yelling and screaming. Offi cer located the residence, found the dogs to be ok and heard no screaming from anywhere.

A reporting person called from an adult softball game with a male that is refusing to leave after a verbal argument. Officers spoke to all parties and everything was okay, everyone left.

July 23

Two black trucks were reported as going 100 mph on Hwy. 377. Officers went to the loop and did not locate the trucks.

An officer checked on a male walking down the road in the 700 block of South Liberty. He was walking home after his truck engine blew.
