May 8

A reporting person advised someone came into their house in the 500 block of North Grafton, left the door open and stole their car. Officer on the follow up said it was a repo.

May 9

Two sheep with babies were out in the 500 block of Liberty Street.

A report of a man yelling and flipping people off on Blackjack/Patrick. Officer made contact, he was not flipping people off, but pointing his finger for them to slow down and stop running the red light.

Sheep running loose on Trowbridge/ Central.

May 10

A reporting person in the 100 block of Comanche stated that someone mowing by the train tracks ran over a railroad tie and it flew through her house. The mowing company went to get information from reporting person and took pictures of damage to get the home fixed.

An officer met with a business owner who advised she mailed out checks to her vendors but they never received them. Checked with bank, they were deposited but not by the vendors.

A reporting person’s neighbor’s dog charged at him while taking a walk so he shot at the dog and the dog ran back home. Officer made contact with the owners to check the dog out, there was no injury to the animal. Officer advised the reporting person was protecting himself and the dog needed to be in a fence or on a leash if he was to be outside of the home.

May 11

A caller’s neighbor was

burning construction material on O’Neil/Cherry Wine. Officer made the scene and saw that they were burning brush and dry wood.

May 12

DPD assisted another agency with a subject that had run from them. Address came back to the housing authority but no one was registered under the subject’s name. Officer continued to patrol the city and look for the vehicle.

A caller stated a house across the street was making too much noise in the 500 block of Hemphill.

A 12-year-old girl reported that another female took $211 from her backpack and then tossed the bag across the roadway. When the officer visited with the subject, she admitted she took some but not the amount claimed. Money was taken back to the reporting person and a criminal trespass was issued.

May 13

There was a disturbance at the football game, with a female cussing and causing issues. An officer made the scene and spoke with the female she advised their team was done playing and leaving and there were words crossed with parents on another team.

May 14

A criminal trespass was issued in the 700 block of Sheehan.

There was loud music next to a reporting party’s house. Officer made the scene and did not locate any loud music.

An agency assist was provided for Stephenville Police Department.

Officers responded to a verbal disagreement in the 300 block of Vine.
